Section lines for Figures 3A-G are shown on the map, Figure 1. The line for Figure 3H is given in the inset of Figure 6. To the adaptations, I have added the approximate position of ridge-terrace border (RTB), trench (T), and volcanoes (V). Position of the trench and volcanoes for the Shumagins is as for the islands themselves. If minor activity at the trench has been reported by the local networks (e.g., by Frolich et al., 1982), it is marked (TE), otherwise it is marked unknown (U).
